Steven Bisig-Imagn Images

UFC Vegas 109 answered several key questions surrounding both the middleweight and flyweight divisions. Firstly, could Anthony Hernandez turn away another notable hard-puncher in Roman Dolidze in the UFC Vegas 109 main event? The answer was yes, and he did so by drowning the Georgian bruiser for 20 minutes straight en route to a dominant fourth-round rear-naked choke.

Former 125-lb title challenger Steve Erceg also recorded a victory, taking home a unanimous decision over Ode’ Osbourne, making it his first win in the cage since March 2024.

Now, let’s take a look at some post-fight facts from the main card of UFC Vegas 109.

UFC Vegas 109: Christian Leroy Duncan def. Eryk Anders

Christian Leroy Duncan:

His win over Anders was his second in a row after previously besting Andrey Pulyaev this past March at UFC Fight Night: Edwards vs. Brady. It stands as the ninth victory of his professional career that has come by knockout.

His most recent trip to Vegas also netted him his first Performance of the Night bonus. He is now 4-1 in his past five fights.

Eryk Anders:

His appearance at UFC Vegas 109 was his 18th scrap in the promotion. His loss to Leroy Duncan served as his first setback by strikes since his defeat to Thiago Santos back in 2018 at UFC Fight Night 137.

It was also the first time he had been trounced in round one since he was submitted by André Muniz in 2021 at UFC 269.

UFC Vegas 109: Jean Matsumoto def. Miles Johns

Jean Matsumoto:

His victory over Johns marked his second straight fight to go to a split decision after previously losing his undefeated record to Rob Font this past February at UFC Fight Night: Cejudo vs. Song. It was also the first time in his entire combat sports career that he prevailed on the judge’s scorecards by split decision.

He has now won eight contests that went the distance as a professional.

Miles Johns:

His loss to Matsumoto was his second consecutive loss. It was also the second time he has been defeated by decision in his career. He is now 2-2 in his past four bouts.

UFC Vegas 109: Andre Fili def. Christian Rodriguez

Andre Fili:

His win over Rodriguez marked his second consecutive victory by split decision. He now reenters the winner’s circle after losing to Melquizael Costa this past February at UFC Fight Night: Cejudo vs. Song.

He has now competed in the company 24 times with this fight in UFC Vegas 109. He is now 4-4 in his past eight trips to the Octagon.

Christian Rodriguez:

His inclusion at UFC Vegas 109 was his third promotional fight of 2025. Rodriguez’ loss to Fili marked his second in a row, putting him at 1-2 this year in his past three contests.

His record in the featherweight division since moving up from bantamweight in 2024 currently sits at 2-3.

UFC Vegas 109: Iasmin Lucindo def. Angela Hill

Iasmin Lucindo:

Her win over Hill put back in the win column after being defeated by Amanda Lemos at UFC 313 this past March. The triumph also is her seventh professional victory via the scorecards. Her UFC record now stands at 5-2.

She is now 5-1 in her last six fights

Angela Hill:

Her appearance at UFC Vegas 109 was her 28th scrap in the organization. She currently holds the record for most women’s bouts in the UFC since making her debut in the company back in 2014.

Her loss to Lucindo was the 25th time she has gone to a decision as a professional.

UFC Vegas 109: Steve Erceg def. Ode’ Osbourne

Steve Erceg:

Erceg’s win over Osbourne made for his first since March 2024 when he knocked out Matt Schnell at UFC Fight Night: Rozenstruik vs. Gaziev. He had previously lost three scraps in a row to Alexandre Pantoja, Kai Kara-France and Brandon Moreno.

His confrontation with Osbourne also served as the least amount of significant strikes that he has landed in a UFC fight that has gone the distance at 20

Ode’ Osbourne:

His loss to Erceg was just the third time he has lost by decision in his nine losses as a professional. The setback puts him back into the ranks of the defeated after scoring second round knockout over Luis Gurule this past April at UFC Fight Night: Emmett vs. Murphy.

He is now 1-4 in his past five contests.

UFC Vegas 109: Anthony Hernandez def. Roman Dolidze

Anthony Hernandez:

Hernandez’ UFC Vegas 109 win over Dolidze is his eighth consecutive victory. It also saw “Fluffy” capture his fourth post-fight bonus.

He has not lost a mixed martial arts bout since 2020 after previously being defeated by Kevin Holland at UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs. Harris.

Roman Dolidze:

His loss to Hernandez was his first since February 2024 after being bested by Nassourdine Imavov at UFC Fight Night: Dolidze vs. Imavov. He had previously embarked on a three-fight winning streak over Anthony Smith, Kevin Holland and Marvin Vettori.

His submission defeat to Hernandez also stands as his first stoppage in both the UFC and also his entire combat sports career.
