UFC CEO Dana White revealed a concerning update on the upcoming UFC White House event scheduled for June 24. President Donald Trump pushed for the event, which will serve to celebrate America 250.
The event will take place on the South Lawn of the White House. As great as everything looks on paper, the world’s largest MMA company has faced a tough situation in recent days.
White revealed that the location has a major problem, which he only learned about after attending the exclusive dinner party hosted by Trump at the Rose Garden.
Speaking with Boardroom, Dana White revealed that the Rose Garden had a major bug problem.
“Another problem that I always think about, especially on the East Coast, bugs,” the UFC CEO shared (video here; warning: viewer discretion advised).
“President Trump just opened the Rose Garden two nights ago, and he invited me to dinner there. The amount of gnats that were flying around … I’m like, ‘Holy s–t.’ As soon as I got on the plane, I called my head of production and said, ‘Yeah, let me tell you about the gnat situation tonight.’”
As the days go by, new details about this event emerge. Hopefully, they can work things out and give fans a proper show.
