Amanda Nunes is the UFC G.O.A.T on the women’s side. Nobody was more dominant than her. When she called it quits in 2023 she cleaned out her divisions and felt like she had nothing else left to prove. Fast forward two years later, the lioness has announced that she is coming back. She will be jumping right back into championship form as she’ll be facing newly UFC women’s bantamweight champion Kayla Harrison (19-1).
During the post fight interview, Harrison sought out the former champion and called Nunes (23-5) out to the ring.
“Come on up here, Amanda. “This is the next fight.”

Seems like the two fighters have been on a collision course and the inevitable is finally happening. During the post fight interview at UFC Nunes shared her thoughts about her future opponent.
“As soon as she got a microphone, she used to talk about me. From that moment, we already started getting like, not different, but like we always respect each other in the gym – but we knew the energy. We never would be able to connect.
“I like when the opponents can bring me fear, bring me adrenaline. Kayla is one of those kinds of fighters. This is how I show up, when you threaten me with something. I know Kayla is that kind of fighter. This is what I like to feel. I like to be in danger. This is how ‘The Lioness’ comes out.”
Nunes is planning on making her return by December. In order for her to make the Harrison fight happen she’ll have to enroll into the UFC drug program as soon as possible.
