Bryce Mitchell was on the wrong end of one of the most brutal knockouts the UFC has seen in years. The knockout was so rough that Mitchell showed concerning signs regarding his health after being decked.

Mitchell was knocked out by a stiff right hand to the face from Josh Emmett 1:57 into their fight at UFC 296 in Las Vegas on Saturday. Mitchell never saw the punch coming.

Mitchell immediately hit the mat and his arms stiffened in front of him. Not long thereafter, he was shown convulsing.

Despite his reaction in the octagon, Mitchell was able to get up and walked to the changing room.

The loss was Mitchell’s second in his last three fights and first by KO. He is 16-2. Emmett is now 19-4.
