Former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman is reportedly set to make his commentary debut on Week 5 of Dana White's Contender Series Season 10.
According to MMA Junkie, Weidman will join Laura Sanko and play-by-play announcer Dan Hellie in the three-person booth for the five-fight card at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas on Sept. 8. The 42-year-old has been a regular desk analyst for UFC events since retiring from competition and co-hosts Paramount's "Deep Waters" podcast with Dustin Poirier, Jorge Masvidal and Din Thomas.
Weidman last competed in December 2024, losing by second-round TKO to Eryk Anders. The UFC Hall of Famer finished his career with a 16-8 record, including a 12-8 mark inside the Octagon.
He remains best known for ending Anderson Silva's historic 16-fight UFC win streak, a record that stood until welterweight champion Islam Makhachev surpassed it recently.
DWCS Week 5 airs live from the Meta Apex on Sept. 8.
