White Teases Next Unconventional UFC Venue

Dana White is planning another unconventional UFC venue.

The promotion's president told Pat McAfee's show this week that he's working on groundwork for a new event location, though he stopped short of naming it. White called the recent White House event — held in May to celebrate President Trump's UFC fandom — the greatest thing he'd ever been part of, per Sherdog. "There will never be anything like the White House event ever again," he said. "We are talking about something right now but I have to do some more groundwork on it."

What White's Track Record Says About Next Venue

The UFC has staged events at Las Vegas's Sphere arena and on the South Lawn under floodlights in the past year, pushing beyond traditional arenas. White works with longtime executive Craig Borsari on securing atypical sites, a partnership that's produced the promotion's most talked-about backdrops.

White gave no timeline for announcing the venue or which card might land there. The promotion runs UFC 330 in Abu Dhabi next month with Islam Makhachev defending the lightweight title against Ian Garry.
