Former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker says Michael Page must have access to a live scorecards feed given how effectively the veteran point-fights his way to decisions.

Page improved to 5-1 in the promotion with a unanimous nod over Nursulton Ruziboev at UFC Paris on Saturday, per MMA Mania. All five of those wins have come by decision. Whittaker, who now competes at light heavyweight, acknowledged the disconnect between Page's technical skill and the entertainment value UFC brass prioritize.

Page's UFC Future After Fifth Decision Win

The 39-year-old Page has disappeared from UFC rankings contention, a sign his contract may be expiring. MMA Mania reports that neither fighter nor promotion appear eager to extend the relationship despite Page beating five solid opponents since joining in 2025.

His methodical approach clashes with Dana White's stated preference for finishes over scorecards. Page could return to former Bellator chief Scott Coker, who now runs a rival outfit, or compete for MVP Promotions, which carries his name.

Whittaker's comments highlight the tension between Page's effectiveness and the spectacle modern MMA demands. The welterweight contender remains unsigned beyond his current deal with no indication a new agreement is imminent.
