NBA Star Recognizes Pitt Guard For Performance at Elite Camp

After the event, Lowe was recognized by former NBA star Isaiah Thomas, a fellow left-handed guard. Thomas quote-tweeted Chepkevich, saying, “Yes he did!!!!” to Chepkevich’s remarks about Pitt’s sophomore point guard.

Lowe, as a freshman, averaged 9.3 points and 3.3 assists per game. He shot 39% from the field. Lowe shot 35% from three-point range and 86% from the free-throw stripe as a rookie.

Lowe will lead Pitt’s back court this upcoming season alongside veteran guards Ishmael Leggett and Damian Dunn (Houston transfer). The Panthers have talent at all positions, including newcomers Cameron Corhen and Amsal Delalic, among others. Pitt brings in freshmen Amdy Ndiaye and guard Brandin Cummings, while returning a solid core led by Leggett, as well as Zack Austin.
