This week, Pitt guard Jaland Lowe competed at the CP3 Elite Camp, a camp for guards at the high-school and college level.

DraftExpress scout Jon Chepkevich was on hand to witness the performances by all of these elite guards, and made sure to document Lowe’s skill set with a highlight video posted on Saturday. Check out the video here or by clicking the link below.

“Pitt’s Jaland Lowe turned some heads at the CP3 Elite Camp,” Chepkevich said. “Broad-shouldered, long-armed lefty guard w/ shifty crossovers, advantage creation craft, and evolving pull-up game. Poised for a sophomore leap w/ Bub Carrington off to the NBA.”

After the event, Lowe was recognized by former NBA star Isaiah Thomas, a fellow left-handed guard. Thomas quote-tweeted Chepkevich, saying, “Yes he did!!!!” to Chepkevich’s remarks about Pitt’s sophomore point guard.

Lowe, as a freshman, averaged 9.3 points and 3.3 assists per game. He shot 39% from the field. Lowe shot 35% from three-point range and 86% from the free-throw stripe as a rookie.

Lowe will lead Pitt’s back court this upcoming season alongside veteran guards Ishmael Leggett and Damian Dunn (Houston transfer). The Panthers have talent at all positions, including newcomers Cameron Corhen and Amsal Delalic, among others. Pitt brings in freshmen Amdy Ndiaye and guard Brandin Cummings, while returning a solid core led by Leggett, as well as Zack Austin.
