Brad Keselowski claims ‘nobody asked’ him to be in NASCAR’s Netflix docu-series, insists he isn’t angry about it
Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

On January 30th, Netflix released “NASCAR: Full Speed”, a new documentary series covering the 2023 season with a selected group of drivers being the face of the show. So far, the series has been a huge success among race and casual fans. It was among the top 10 most streamed programs on Netflix in North America, Australia, and a few countries in Europe.

Joe Gibbs Racing’s Denny Hamlin is the show’s star, alongside champions Ryan Blaney, Kyle Larson , Bubba Wallace, and Tyler Reddick , who has gotten significant screen time. Fan-favorite drivers, such as Chase Elliott and Kyle Busch , weren’t featured. RFK Racing co-owner and 2012 NASCAR Cup champion Brad Keselowski was another major snub.

Keselowski, ahead of the 2024 unofficial season opener LA Clash, claimed that he wasn’t asked by anyone to feature in the show. He went on to say he isn’t angry at anyone for it and believes that he will get his turn next year. Keselowski is an interesting character Netflix can explore for the 2024 edition of the docu-series.

Nobody asked me but I understand they couldn't do everybody, so I'm not like angry about it. I think their program's going to be very successful and when it is, everybody will kind of get a turn. I didn't get the turn the first time, but I'm not bitter about it. Keselowski told Fox Sports.

2024 is going to be a big year for Brad Keselowski

The upcoming season will be a major challenge for Brad Keselowski. He has many responsibilities associated with RFK Racing on and off the track. The team has undergone massive changes under his leadership and has reaped the benefit of those changes with four wins in the Next-Gen era. Both of their drivers made it to the playoffs in 2023.

However, there is one concerning trend that Keselowski has to sort out. He is winless since his exit from Team Penske racing, and at the same time, his teammate Chris Buescher has won four races, with three of them coming in the 2023 season. Keselowski was out-qualified and out-raced by his teammate in most races this season.

So, the veteran has to step up his game, as his team has already proved their worth and has given him cars capable of winning races. Keselowski has to use all the race craft he has learned over the years to his advantage and deliver in 2024.
