Over the years, Brad Keselowski and Kyle Busch were more than rivals. None of that matters in the wake of Busch's death. The RFK Racing owner-driver offered a few words, as many as he could find, after Busch's death was made public.

"Absolute shock," Keselowski posted on social media. "Very hard to process. Hug your loved ones."

Multiple drivers and teams have made statements ranging from a few words reacting to the news in real time to longer statements made in the wake. Kyle Busch's death was sudden. Early on Thursday, it was announced that he was hospitalized, and hours later he had died.

Busch was one of the most successful NASCAR drivers of all time. He won more national series races than any other driver in the history of the sport. Of course, Busch rose to the top of the sport in 2015 and then again in 2019, claiming two Cup Series championships while at Joe Gibbs Racing.

When they were younger, Kyle Busch and Brad Keselowski feuded on and off the track. They were far from friends, but had seemingly buried the hatchet. They would both appear in a video announcement about the 2026 season championship race returning to Homestead-Miami Speedway in May of 2025.
