Brad Keselowski’s Injury Update Reveals Unexpected Race-Week Concern

Last month, Brad Keselowski said that he was to be completely fit within three to four months of sustaining the injury, which should put him in the clear after April. Racing with an unhealed leg is by no means easy for him, but he remains undeterred.

“[Driving] the car is not the best thing for me in some ways, whether it be the vibration, or the loads, or just the movements to get in and out,” Keselowski said in March. “But once I’m in the car, I feel reasonable. I can’t say it’s the best I’ve ever felt, but I feel reasonable.”

However, the team still feels optimistic about carrying on with him.

Chris Buescher Bullish on Brad Keselowski’s Return

Brad Keselowski might still be on a cane, but that doesn’t mean he’s a risk. Teammate Chris Buescher is all in on the veteran going the full distance.

“He’s doing great,” he told Racer. “He’s really blown through, I think, all expectations on the recovery side of things and hasn’t missed a beat. I was nervous for him when we got to COTA, and he powered right through. I think it’s smooth sailing from here on out.

Keselowski is at an impressive No. 8 on the Driver’s Standings, proving that he will brave through the injury, regardless of how demanding a track can be.
