Chase Briscoe has emerged as one of the better drivers on track this year. The JGR debutant was desperate for good results this year as he had to prove his racing skills to the team. Briscoe has done exactly that and has clinched his position in the Championship-4 to fight for the title once again. As such, his teammate, Christopher Bell, opened up on the #19 driver’s performances this year.

Chase Briscoe‘s debut year with Joe Gibbs Racing, following his SHR exit, has been quite impressive. The debutant has picked up three race wins this season, with one coming in the regular season. Briscoe’s dual race win in the playoffs helped him move up the rounds with ease and achieve a chance to fight for the title at Phoenix.

As such, his teammate Christopher Bell, who barely missed out on qualifying for the championship finale based on points, is glad atleast the #19 driver has made the cut. Christopher Bell suffered from a woeful slump mid-way through the season and couldn’t make it into the Championship-4, is delighted with his teammate’s result.

He opened up on Chase Briscoe’s performance in his JGR debut year. Bell reckoned that he wasn’t surprised to witness such great results from the #19 crew. The 30-year-old continued that Briscoe certainly exceeded everyone’s expectations of him following his stellar results.

Further, Christopher Bell believed that it was fair to think highly of Chase Briscoe, especially following his results in his JGR debut season. Bell asserted that he was super proud of Briscoe and Co., especially his entire crew, including James Small as his crew chief and others. Now, the championship finale is up next for the #19 driver, and he will certainly hope to win his coveted maiden title.

I’m not surprised, but certainly he has exceeded expectations. I think that’s fair to say. And, I’m super proud of him and even James and that entire group.

Christopher Bell claims Chase Briscoe ‘most improved’ year after year

Chase Briscoe’s performance since his debut with Stewart-Haas Racing has continued to improve every passing year. Even in the 2025 season, the 30-year-old has kept up with the improvement arc and achieved over three race wins this year. Briscoe is also poised for a championship win this year as he enters the finale for the third time in his career.

As such, Christopher Bell noted that it has been awesome to witness Chase Briscoe come up on the grid on his own and join the running among the drivers to be the most improved with every passing year. Ever since the beginning of the year, Briscoe has continued to improve and prove his racing mettle to the grid.

Hence, the #19 crew had managed to do a great job of stringing together great results and executing well during races that helped them maximize their winning chances.

Like they it’s been awesome to see them come into their own, and they’ve really, if you bet you they’d be in the running for most improved, year after year, and even from the beginning of the year to where they are today. So they’ve just done a great job of putting it all together and executing races and putting themselves in position.

Christopher Bell noted

The 2025 season has been extremely exciting and interesting, especially among the leading pack. Even if Chase Briscoe doesn’t win the title this year, he has already proved his racing skills to everyone, including team owner Joe Gibbs. The 30-year-old now only has to seal a great end to the year and aim to emerge as a winning force by the upcoming season and put forth even better results.
