A disastrous restart for Christopher Bell, as he was in the lead. He spun out and saved his car, but now has to fight back. It is amazing that Bell was able to keep racing. The entire NASCAR field dodged him as he spun in front of them.
More bad news, Christopher Bell appears stuck in dirty air. He hasn’t been able to move up in the field again after going to the rear after the spin and caution.
Now, Chase Elliott is fully in control of this race. There are over 100 laps to go, but it’s hard to tell how this one is going to end. Tough break for Bell.

Christopher Bell is going to have to catch a lucky break or something. He wasn’t able to move up through traffic easily as he went to the rear and tried to race back through. Until he gets that break on the track, things are going to be difficult for Bell.
Meanwhile, Denny Hamlin is in a great position to win this race. Chase Elliott is there, too. This is going to be a great finish if we get there before the rain comes in.
Denny Hamlin sees himself winning this race, again. He has to avoid trouble and not get frustrated, though. If he gets too high or too low then it isn’t going to work. Having to be a weatherman today and a driver doesn’t make anything easier on these drivers, either.
We have a showdown between Hamlin and Christopher Bell late in this race. Whether it ends due to rain or due to the checkered flag remains to be seen.
With 13 laps to go in the Cup Series race at Dover, Christopher Bell is second and the race is under a red flag for rain. He trails only Denny Hamlin at the moment and NASCAR is going to do what it can to get this race going again.
Joe Gibbs Racing and Hendrick Motorsports have been the best in this race. We knew that was likely to happen going into the weekend, but that is exactly how things have played out.
Now, we know Bell is great in the damp conditions. But wet weather tires at Dover are not a thing. The track is too fast and too banked for wet weather tires to work without causing major issues.
Christopher Bell can almost taste his fourth win of the season. Can he manage to get it today or will he fall short to his teammate, Denny Hamlin?
