Cole Custer, wife Kari welcome baby boy

According to TobyChristie.com, Custer met his wife through a mutual friend in 2019. The couple began dating and were married in January 2023. Custer and Kari announced they were expecting their first child in February.

It’s been an exciting few weeks for Custer, the defending Xfinity Series champion. Last month, Custer won his first race of the year with a P1 finish at Pocono. He followed that up with a P2 finish at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Custer is in first place in the Xfinity Series standings with 761 points. So far this year, Custer has 16 top-10 finishes and nine top-five finishes with his one victory.

Once the 2024 season, ends Custer will be getting ready to return to the Cup Series. On July 20, the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series Rookie of the Year winner announced he will drive the No. 41 Ford for Hass Factory Team.

“Cole has represented Haas Automation for more than half his life and he’s delivered results every step of the way,” team owner Gene Haas said in a statement, per ESPN. “He just wins, and he’s proven that repeatedly. He brings home trophies and he races people clean. He’s earned a lot of respect from his peers, and he’s a genuine personality whose hard work resonates with our customers.”

“I’ve grown up with Haas Automation and having their name on my firesuit is something I take a tremendous amount of pride in,” Custer said. “I’m driven to win for Gene and everyone at Haas Automation because they’ve been such a big part of my career.”

In his NASCAR career, Custer has competed in 117 Cup Series races and won his first race in 2020 at the Quaker State 400. He became the first rookie to win a Cup Series race since Chris Buescher in 2016. With the win, Custer made the 2020 playoffs but was eliminated following the third round in Bristol.
