Dale Earnhardt Jr. was one of the best drivers of his era, and he delighted fans for years as the most popular driver in the sport. From his time in the No. 8 to the No. 88, Earnhardt Jr. has been beloved by fans all over the country.
The longtime Cup Series star retired from full-time competition several years ago, but he makes regular starts in smaller races on behalf of his team JR Motorsports.
On Wednesday, Earnhardt Jr. took time to give a shoutout to one of his daughters on her birthday.
"My oldest daughter turns 7 today," said the NASCAR Hall of Famer. The celebration comes just weeks after Earnhardt and his family celebrated Easter. His wife Amy shared photos of the family on egg hunts and dressing up for church services two Sundays ago.

The Earnhardts welcomed their first daughter Isla in 2018, and their second daughter Nicole was born two years later in 2020.
Earnhardt and his wife have been together since 2016, and they met six years prior when he hired her interior design firm to work on his home. The two-time Daytona 500 winner proposed to his wife at a 1,000-year old German church that his ancestor once attended.
“To do it at that particular time, that moment while we were in that church, it made the moment more memorable for her,” Earnhardt told ESPN about proposing at the church.
"I thought it was just a great place to do it. I thought about it, and every other spot that I could think of just didn't measure up. It just wasn't good enough, especially for her."
These days, Earnhardt mostly focuses on his duties at JRM as a team owner and ambassador. He makes occasional starts behind the wheel in the Xfinity series, but has been retired from full-time competition since 2017.
Earnhardt Jr. was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2021, entering as a two-time Xfinity Series champion and a 26-time winner in the Cup Series.
We'll see what the future holds for the Earnhardt family, but it's clear that Wednesday is a day for celebration.
