NASCAR fans all over the world are paying tribute to the legendary Dale Earnhardt on Tuesday.

A seven-time Cup Series champion with 76 Cup Series victories under his belt, Earnhardt became one of the most feared and beloved drivers in NASCAR history before his tragic death at the 2001 Daytona 500 at the age of 49. Earnhardt, who remains an iconic figure in auto racing, would have turned 74 today.

In honor of "The Intimidator," fans are celebrating Dale Earnhardt Day on social media, sharing memories of their favorite driver and the legacy he built.

'Today is Dale Earnhardt Day!! Please share with us your favorite Dale stories, pictures, merch, tribute, whatever. See you in the comments!! Happy Birthday Dale!!" said the Dale Earnhardt Archive X/Twitter account.

"Today and every Dale Earnhardt Day…Raise Hell, Praise Dale," said Cleveland radio host Ken Carman.

"Dale Earnhardt would have been 74 today #RIP #TheIntimidator," a third account said.

"Happy Birthday Big E.. RIP," another fan said.

"Always remembered, never forgotten," a fifth person chimed in.

"R.I.P. Happy Birthday to the Man-in-Black! The true 7X Champ! Dale Y3AH," another commenter added.

Last week, Amazon Prime Video announced the upcoming release of "Earnhardt," a four-part documentary series on Dale Sr., Dale Jr. and the entire Earnhardt family's impact on the sport of racing.

"This new series combines established producers Brian Grazer and Ron Howard, access to mountains of archival footage both on and off track, and in-depth interviews with competitors and close friends who surrounded Earnhardt as he rose through the ranks of stock car racing to become 'The Intimidator,'" said Hagerty.com.  "The family drama and dynamics aren’t out of bounds either, with multiple members of Earnhardt’s family—including his son, Dale Jr.—giving perspective not only on what was happening on track but also at home."

"Earnhardt" will premier on May 22.
