Kyle Busch fans will always remember the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season and for all the wrong reasons. The top storyline for the two-time champion was his streak of consecutive seasons with at least one win ended at 19. He also missed the playoffs.
Heading into the 2025 campaign, it’s not surprising that many Rowdy fans are unsure what to expect from the No. 8 car, especially when factoring in the 2023 season — his first at Richard Childress Racing — when he won three times.
According to Fox reporter Bob Pockrass, 2024 was an anomaly for the 39-year-old and he expects the driver to return to Victory Lane in 2025. But that’s not all the veteran journalist had to say during an interview on the “Beating and Banging” YouTube channel. He also suggested Busch’s 2026 plans could become a hot topic of conversation by spring depending on his performance.
”When you look at Silly Season I'm going to look at Kyle Busch,” Pockrass said. “And he'll be the one that if they perform well off the start, you think, ‘Okay, he's going to stay.’ But if they struggle, what is he gonna feel about it? How much is he going to look? And where does he end up?
“I think it will be kind of a big storyline. Maybe not going into Daytona, but I would say by the time you get to April or May, it will be.”
