“We’re going racing at Sonoma!” Bryson posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. “So excited to make my NASCAR debut in the #17 Chevrolet Cook Racing Technologies ARCA car this weekend!”
It’s an exciting development, as Bryson has made her name on the dirt. She’s best known for being the first female driver to qualify for A-Main at the Chili Bowl Nationals, which came to fruition in 2022.
Additionally, the Muskogee, Oklahoma native became the first woman to win a USAC National Series race. She went to victory lane at the Belleville High Banks in Silver Crown competition in May of 2024.
However, it’s not simply the dirt where Bryson excels. She’s proven herself on pavement in road course racing, becoming just the second woman to win a TransAm championship in the SGT class with Sam Pierce Racing last year.
This season, Bryson has moved up to Trans-Am’s XGT class. So far, she’s excelled, winning her first race at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on June 21, and placing among the leaders in the point standings throughout 2025.
It’ll be fascinating to see her race against some of NASCAR’s top prospects at Sonoma this coming weekend now. A myriad of interesting names will join Bryson, like William Sawalich, Corey Day, Alon Day and Spencer Gallagher, among others.
It’ll all get underway on Friday night at 6:30 p.m. ET. Kaylee Bryson wants a NASCAR career, and this will be her best shot at proving herself yet. We’ll see how she does when the ARCA Menards Series West heads to California.
