Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin have not forgotten about what happened at the 2024 Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. On the Actions Detrimental podcast, Busch and Hamlin rehashed what happened during the final laps of the race.
“You dodged me for a year because I think you were supposed to be here after Indy of last year?” Denny Hamlin told Kyle Busch, who then said yes and claimed that he wrecked him. “Hold on. Stop the press. You were inside of me and lost control of your car.”
“Oh, how many times did you… Can we talk about how we hate these cars again?” Busch replied while laughing. “It was 12 laps. I think I was faster than you, but it was 12 laps to the end of the race. I’m not going to ask you to pull over at the end of the race.”
Hamlin then said, “I was trying to make it on fuel.” That led to Busch saying, “He would literally lift at the start/finish line three lanes down off the wall, knowing that there’s no chance in hell anybody’s going to go around the outside. You’re going to look like an IndyCar if you put it around the outside and you put your right sides in the rubber.”

Hamlin replied, “I thought he was dodging me to not take responsibility for crashing into me, but then it turns out he actually did have a wrist issue. He then asked Busch if he recovered from the wrist injury, and Busch told him it was “fine.”
In the 2024 Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Busch spun underneath Hamlin with a few laps remaining, which led to him finishing 25th. After the race, Busch talked about how his team put him in the best position to succeed despite the wreck.
“Randall Burnett and everyone on the Cheddar’s team did a great job to put us in position to have a good finish today,” Busch said, per Motorsports Wire. “After getting loose in our qualifying session, we worked the entire race to gain track position, and in the closing laps, we had a shot to finish inside the top 10. We saved fuel throughout the race to help with our strategy, which put us in position to capitalize when it mattered.”

Trackhouse Racing star Connor Zilisch‘s weekend at Watkins Glen was bitter sweet. The 19-year-old dominated the Xfinity Series race on Saturday. However, he got injured after he shockingly fell on the ground while getting out of the car. Now, NASCAR legend Kevin Harvick has insisted that the incident will only make the rising star stronger. Zilisch was getting out of his Chevrolet in Victory Lane when he fell on his back. The Trackhouse Racing star collapsed and was taken to the medical center straightaway. Connor Zilisch later revealed that he was okay, but he had broken his collarbone due to the incident. This in turn forced him to miss the Cup race for Trackhouse the following day. Kevin Harvick asserted that the 19-year-old was going to become completely bullet-tough in NASCAR. He pointed out that just in one day he had suffered from so much, be it the high of winning the race, or hitting the rock bottom with an embarrassing injury. Harvick made it clear that Connor Zilisch was a born winner and will continue to achieve a lot more success in the field over the years. This kid is going to be bullet-tough when he is done with all the things that he’s had to deal with, whether it’s his back, falling in Victory Lane, and just learning on the fly and having bunch of success. This kid’s a stud. He’s a winner and he’s going to continue to win. Kevin Harvick said on Happy Hour podcast. Kevin Harvick expresses concerns over Connor Zilisch Kevin Harvick is not someone who will just sit back and watch things happen. The NASCAR veteran has years of experience that makes him understand what might be good for a driver like Connor Zilisch particularly in such situations. Harvick revealed that he went to Zilisch’s father soon after the incident. The former Cup Series champion made it clear that the family must make sure the 19-year-old is taking care of himself and healing. Kevin Harvick further said that once Connor Zilisch gets into a Cup car, he could be unstoppable, albeit he first needs to recover. He made it clear that nothing will work out for the Trackhouse Racing star if he doesn’t recover to 100% before making it back to the field. You got to make sure they take care of him first and not get in a hurry. Make sure he heals correctly, because he’s going to be a winner when he comes and gets into that Cup car. The most important thing is to not rush it because you’re chasing a regular-season Points Championship or an Xfinity Championship. Just make sure that he’s 100 percent.’ Kevin Harvick explained. The NASCAR legend doubled down on the need for proper recovery for the 19-year-old. Kevin Harvick admitted that this was now his main concern for Zilisch. As the Trackhouse Racing star must be willing to take his time to get back into shape. My main concern for Connor at this point is to make sure Connor is 100 percent, because he can take his time in making sure it’s right is my only thing. Kevin Harvick added. Connor Zilisch has had an outstanding campaign this year with six Xfinity wins. However, this incident has put brakes on his run for the time being. It is unclear when the Trackhouse Racing star will return to the field. However, considering the words from Kevin Harvick, it would be better if Zilisch misses a couple of races to be fully fit to get back into the cockpit soon.

Vikings WR gets brutal injury news for second straight season
A Minnesota Vikings wide receiver's season is already over. The Minnesota Vikings announced on Tuesday that wide receiver Rondale Moore is being placed on season-ending injured reserve due to a leg injury that he suffered in the team's first preseason game against the Houston Texans this past weekend. It is a devastating blow for Moore, who is now being sidelined for an entire season, before it even begins, for the second year in a row. Moore signed a one-year, $2 million contract in free agency with the Vikings this offseason in the hopes he could return from a different injury that cost him the entirety of the 2024 season. Moore was a member of the Atlanta Falcons in 2024 after being acquired in a trade with the Arizona Cardinals for backup quarterback Desmond Ridder. This is now two different teams that Moore has been a part of, but will never play a game for them due to injuries. Moore was injured while returning a punt. He began his career with the Arizona Cardinals, catching 135 passes for 1,201 yards over three seasons before being traded. He was never going to be counted on to be a key contributor for the Vikings offense this season, especially given the superstars they already have at wide receiver in Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, but he still had a chance to be an interesting depth player. Now it is fair to wonder what the rest of his career might even look like. Missing two full seasons due to two different leg injuries is going to be a brutal thing to try to come back from. Missing two seasons for any reason is difficult, but when you add the leg injuries to the equation, it makes the obstacle even steeper.
Shohei Ohtani named in lawsuit regarding $240M real estate project
Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani has been named in a lawsuit that was filed in Hawaii on Friday. Ohtani and his agent, Nez Balelo, are being sued by a real estate investor and a broker in Hawaii who have accused Ohtani and Balelo of sabotaging a $240M real estate deal for a development on the Big Island. According to court documents that were obtained by Jimmy Golen of The Associated Press, real estate developer Kevin J. Hayes Sr. and real estate broker Tomoko Matsumoto say Ohtani and Balelo deliberately had them removed from the project “for no reason other than their own financial self-interest.” The lawsuit claims Ohtani was brought into the deal for his promotional value and that he and his agent pushed the founders of the project out using “threats and baseless legal claims.” “Defendants must be held accountable for their actions, not shielded by fame or behind-the-scenes agents acting with impunity,” the lawsuit states. “Plaintiffs bring this suit to expose Defendants’ misconduct and to ensure that the rules of contract, fair dealing, and accountability apply equally to all — celebrity or not.” Hayes and Matsumoto have also accused Ohtani and Balelo of trying to push them out of a similar neighboring development project. The $240M Big Island development is located along Hapuna Beach, which is rated one of the top beaches in the world. Matsumoto was supposed to be the listing agent for the properties, which average more than $17.3M each. A brochure for the project stated that Ohtani, who was called “Japan’s Babe Ruth” has committed to buying one of the 14 properties and acting as a “celebrity spokesperson” for the development. Ohtani signed a 10-year, $700M contract with the Dodgers prior to the 2024 season. The two-way star is having another monster year with a .284 average, 42 home runs, 78 RBI and a 1.013 OPS entering Tuesday. Ohtani has also returned to pitching this season and has a 2.37 ERA across 19 innings. Ohtani was also connected to a massive gambling scandal last year, though Major League Baseball determined that the 31-year-old was not guilty of any wrongdoing.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have quite an interesting quarterback room for the 2025 season. Of course, all the focus is truly on Aaron Rodgers and what he can bring to the team at this stage in his career. Behind him, the Steelers have Mason Rudolph serving as the primary backup. Skylar Thompson and Will Howard are competing for the third spot on the depth chart, but unfortunately for Howard, an injury has slowed his progress. Thompson took advantage of the opportunity, performing well in the first preseason game and possibly reclaiming the QB3 role. Before his injury, Howard had previously moved ahead of Thompson in the competition. Former teammate of Rudolph, Ben Roethlisberger, recently shared his honest thoughts about the veteran quarterback’s performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Roethlisberger, who spent years with Rudolph during his time in Pittsburgh, had a unique perspective on how his former understudy handled the game. While Roethlisberger acknowledged there were some areas where Rudolph could improve, he also praised his composure, decision-making, and ability to move the offense when needed. Roethlisberger discussed Rudolph’s performance on his Footbahlin podcast, noting that the veteran looked confident and in control despite limited opportunities. There is a strong argument that Rudolph is one of the most dependable backup quarterbacks in the NFL, which is a significant asset for the Steelers in the 2025 season. Steelers' Mason Rudolph Has Great Preseason Game Versus Jaguars Rudolph only attempted 10 passes on Saturday night against the Jaguars, but completed 90 percent of them. He threw for 84 yards and one touchdown. While preseason football can be difficult to evaluate, he performed well in roughly a quarter and some change of action. His efficiency and composure reinforced the notion that the Steelers have one of the league’s most steady and trustworthy backup quarterbacks heading into the regular season. Roethlisberger is confident Rudolph has now locked up his spot as QB2 for the 2025 season. Steelers fans are now super eager to get updates on when Howard will be back from his injury.
