Kyle Busch shows off massive trophy collection after Netflix ‘Full Speed’ scene

In his NASCAR career, Kyle Busch has won a race or two. Okay, he’s won way more than just a race or two, and has the trophies to prove it. Busch has enough hardware to support the American war effort in 1942.

Kyle Busch has won 67 Truck Series, 102 Xfinity Series, and 63 Cup Series races in his career. 232 NASCAR national series wins to his name. No one besides Richard Petty has broken that 200 number, albeit all of The King’s were in Cup.

If you are watching the second season of NASCAR: Full Speed on Netflix, then you likely noticed something – Busch has a lot of trophies. His one-on-one interview spot was in front of two huge shelves full of his awards.

Well, he has more. Like, a lot more. He showed off his extensive collection today on X/Twitter. Check it out.

One of the first things I notice in that video – we don’t have as many cool trophies like we used to. Something about those older trophies, and the more traditional ones. I mean, Bristol has to have the best trophies in NASCAR even if you don’t include the swords, right?

Many modern trophies are just large pieces of metal with corporate logos on them. Some are better than others. But when you have a trophy that can double as an art piece, that’s when you have a real winner.

Also, let’s not act like this is everything that Kyle Busch has won over the years. I think his two Cup Series championship trophies are elsewhere. There are probably a few other items that are too large to fit on the shelves Busch has set up.

Kyle Busch needs a good run at Kansas

Last week at Texas, it looked like Busch had figured something out. He had at least put himself in a position to have a strong finish on the day and earn some points. A nice change of momentum. That was until he spun out all by himself.

In the last seven races on 1.5-mile tracks (Homestead-Miami, Kansas, Las Vegas, and Texas), Busch has failed to finish in the Top 10. He has gone 11 races in a row on these tracks without a top-five finish.

The last Top 10 on a 1.5-mile track for Kyle Busch did come at Kansas in the Spring 2024 race. So, there is a little optimism. But his fall performance, P19, was concerning. There is just an overall lack of speed for Busch and Richard Childress Racing at these tracks.

If the goal this week is to just have the best finish possible, Busch has to approach the race the right way. He has gotten in his own way as much as the lack of speed has gotten in his way in the last two years.
