Chaos at Richmond Raceway! Kyle Busch got into Chase Briscoe, and now we have multiple cars on the track, totally wrecked. Busch even collected Chase Elliott in the aftermath, which will cause his streak of top-20 finishes to come to an end. A lot of NASCAR teams are fuming.

Chase Briscoe, Chase Elliott, Justin Haley, Denny Hamlin, Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski, Cole Custer, Ross Chastain, Ty Dillon, William Byron, and Erik Jones were all involved. Just a massive wreck that will change how this race plays out.

Coming off of the restart for the Cody Ware caution, this field was bumping and banging for position. Kyle Larson has some role to play in this, as he blocked Briscoe, which then caused Busch to get into the 19.

This is a big one. Let’s see how the rest of this race plays out.

This is likely going to give William Byron a huge advantage in the regular-season points standings. Chase Elliott was the closest to him going into this race. It is possible that he clinches the championship tonight ahead of next week’s race at Daytona.

Kye Busch has had multiple issues during the race today. He seems to keep bouncing back from them. However, it doesn’t appear that he is going to bounce back from this mishap. His car is damaged and the speed is just not there anymore.

Meanwhile, his teammate, Austin Dillon, is driving away from the field in Stage 3 of this race. It isn’t over, but there is a possibility that Dillon wins this race and steals a spot in the NASCAR Playoffs. Did this wreck open the door for that?

Kyle Busch having nightmare night at Richmond

Just as it has happened all season long, Kyle Busch has had multiple issues tonight. His team has fast cars. We are seeing the ECR engines teams, Kaulig and Trackhouse, also have success tonight. But Busch keeps finding a way to have something go wrong.

Pit road penalties, the big wreck – everything has been going wrong today for the 8 team. While his teammate is driving away with the race at the moment, Busch is struggling to get into the top-20.

It has been a nightmare season, and tonight is a nightmare race. Nothing is going right for this team anywhere on the track. If Busch is able to come back again tonight, it will take a huge swing and a lot of great driving to get the job done.

At this point, Kyle Busch probably has no hopes of winning. But that doesn’t mean RCR is going to walk away empty-handed tonight at Richmond. Can Austin Dillon win again at Richmond, but keep his playoff eligibility?
