'LFG, incredible,' Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kyle Larson celebrate Rajah Caruth’s Las Vegas Truck Race win
Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

Rick Hendrick has yet again proved why he is the most accomplished team owner in NASCAR history. The Hall of Famer gave Rajah Caruth, an iRacing star turned racer, an HMS development contract in 2024 to the surprise of many. Buy Caruth in only his third race as an HMS-backed driver proved he deserved the chance by winning the Las Vegas Truck Race on Friday

Caruth, who is driving for Spire Motorsports, had an eventful day. He started the race on pole, his first in NASCAR, and fought veterans Kyle Busch and Ty Majeski the whole race on his way to the victory lane. His race craft, the fast Chevy machine he had, and the race strategy of his team helped Caruth secure the milestone victory.

NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr . was quick to congratulate Caruth for his win, a first by a black racer since Bubba Wallace in 2017 Michigan, via X. He posted “ Incredible. Good job Rajah Caruth, SpireMotorsport and Hendrick Cars” while resharing graphics celebrating his win.

Hendrick Motorsports 2021 NASCAR Cup champion Kyle Larson also shared his excitement via an X post. He wrote, “LFG!! So deserving! Rajah Caruth.” Both Larson and Caruth have HendrickCars.com as primary sponsors and it makes their win extra special. He would be hoping to make it a double delight by winning Sunday’s race.

Ex-Xfinity Series Champion Daniel Hemric celebrates Rajah Caruth’s win

Veteran racer and firmer Xfinity champion Daniel Hemric was another driver to celebrate Rajah Caruth’s win. He took it, X, to share his excitement and acknowledged the amount of hard work the young racer from DC has put in to make a name for himself in NASCAR.

Massive Win for Rajah Caruth! I’ve been fortunate to see firsthand the work this dude puts in, proud of him Hemric wrote on X.

Hemric and Caruth are Chevy teammates, as Spire and Kaulig Racing fields Chevy in a fight for victory. They often train in the same facility. Spending time together and learning from veterans like Hemric has played a major role in Caruth’s development as a driver.
