After years of waiting, NASCAR 25 is finally here, and the racing world can't keep still! The game was released for PS5 and Xbox on October 10. As fans jump on iRacing's product with great enthusiasm to quench the overtly long thirst for a worthwhile NASCAR-based game, veteran reporter Jeff Gluck has done so as well.
Gluck revealed on X that he is trying the release out on his PS5 and that he has only just begun building up his skills with some ARCA races. He also noted, in an answer to a follower, that he was driving as himself instead of picking another driver. From what he has seen thus far, he couldn't help but deliver a rave review for the game.
"I’m a casual gamer, not looking for the most detailed sim experience," he wrote. "Honestly, all I wanted from NASCAR 25 is a great career mode. Very happy it’s checking that box for me. Love it. Great soundtrack, too." For understandable reasons, he found the need to clarify to his followers that he wasn't being paid to post this appreciation.

* — Yes I did get a free copy of the game because I gave them…
He continued, "Yes I did get a free copy of the game because I gave them permission to use my tweets in it, but I didn’t get paid nor asked to say this. This is my honest review. I’m having fun with it." This reaction from him is one of the earliest positive comments from a trustworthy insider, and it should be helpful for others looking to try their hand at the game.
One notable individual in particular would take great pleasure in Gluck's words and his shoutout to the soundtrack. It is none but the beloved Dale Earnhardt Jr. Junior played a key role in shortlisting the soundtrack associated with the game and, admittedly, spent quite a lot of time on the project.
He said on "Dale Jr. Download" back in August, "This was something I was heavily involved in. The featured song that will be on the game is 'System of a Down.' I actually had to write a letter to their team. They didn't know what the project was or what we were asking them. And why we wanted to use the song. I had to spell it out for them."
He continued to note that there were 27 different artists, through whom they'd tried to represent as many diverse genres as possible. There'd also been a few songs that Junior had wanted to include, but couldn't due to some reasons. One of them was 'Stunting like my Daddy'.
"I always liked soundtracks," he explained. "The reason I got involved in this is because I learned about a lot of music while playing video games. Like, Fight Nights on EA Sports and Madden. I actually have songs in my library on my phone that I learned strictly from games, so."
As more positive reviews continue to pour in for NASCAR 25, the acknowledgment and appreciation that the soundtrack receives keep rising. Junior will be a happy man now that his involvement is getting due rewards.
