
The NASCAR Hall of Fame voting panel has convened and voted. The next class of Hall of Famers has been selected for 2027.
As everyone expected, Kevin Harvick is a first ballot Hall of Famer. He gets in on the Modern Ballot, and deservedly so. 60 wins in the Cup Series, having to fill-in for Dale Earnhardt, and so many moments along the way. Harvick was destined for the Hall of Fame.
It will be Jeff Burton joining Harvick on the Modern Ballot. Burton, The Mayor, is in the Hall of Fame. His contributions on and off the track are numerous. He helped define an era of the sport as a driver, and has continued to contribute as an analyst on TV.
From the Pioneer Ballot, the voting panel has selected Larry Phillips to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Phillips, a short track racer in the Midwest, earned his way into the Hall of Fame with a reported 1,000 wins in his career. A five-time NASCAR Weekly Series champion, Phillips is truly one of the pioneers of the sport.
The Landmark Award was awarded to Lesa France Kennedy. The executive vice chair of NASCAR is recognized for her contributions to the sport.
Kevin Harvick, Jeff Burton, and Larry Phillips will be forever enshrined in the Hall of Fame as members of the Class of 2027. Lesa France Kennedy earns the Landmark Award. It will be a fun year celebrating these inductees and seeing all of the ways they are honored by the sport.
January 22, 2027 will be the day that the NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2027 will be inducted. It will be a special moment for these drivers and all of their fans as well.
