Tyler Reddick has become the first driver in NASCAR history to win the first three races of the Cup Series season. Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin celebrate as co-owners of 23XI Racing. The victory is a mark of excellence for Reddick, who averaged a 4.2 finishing position over five career races, and now, he has won at Circuit of the Americas for the second time.

Shane Van Gisbergen was the +125 betting favorite to win the road course race. Despite qualifying and practice failures, he finished 2nd. While breathing down the neck of Reddick for most of stage three, Reddick would pull away as tires gave issues to the No. 97 Chevrolet of SVG.

Race Winners

Tyler Reddick gained pole position in qualifying. The driver of the No. 45 Toyota went on to win the DuraMax Grand Prix, thus keeping 23XI Racing with an undefeated record in 2026, as well as the car sponsor, Chumba Casino. This start has never before been seen in the Cup Series.

Shane Van Gisbergen failed to win, but a 2nd-place finish is very commendable for a road-course star who has yet to win at COTA. He earned a top-10 finish in all three stages.

Christoper Bell was the defending champion, and despite not winning, a 3rd-place finish does a lot to ease his early-season struggles.

Ty Gibbs has faced much criticism this week, caught in the crossfire of the Joe Gibbs Racing vs. Chris Gabehart lawsuit. Gibbs backed this up with a strong 4th-place finish.

Race Disappointments

Chase Briscoe qualified in 3rd place and sat most of the race in the top-5. However, his car would slide out, and his day ended early, finishing 38th/38 and bottom-2 for the 2nd time this season.

Alex Bowman raced sick today, and this caught up with him late in the race. Bowman would park the car, exit, and the team would insert Myatt Snider into the car to finish it out.

Ross Chastain looked as if he could win this race, but pit and car issues had him fall back to finish in 36th place, two laps back.
