Friday night's Fresh From Florida 250 race in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series saw Parker Kligerman reach the checkered flag first after a chaotic final lap. But disaster struck Kligerman and his race team merely an hour later.

Following the race at Daytona, NASCAR issued a ruling that Kligerman's No. 75 Chevrolet was disqualified following a post-race inspection. NASCAR determined that the rear of his car was too low.

Kligerman's team quickly announced their intention to appeal the decision.

"OFFICIAL UPDATE: We've decided to appeal the disqualification of our #75 Truck from yesterday evening's NCTS Race at Daytona," Henderson Motorsports announced on X last night.

As for Kligerman, he didn't address his controversial disqualification until this morning. Taking to X, he called it the biggest win of his life and thanked everyone for their messages.

As for his plans, he intends to focus on doing his broadcast job with The CW and the NASCAR Xfinity Series rather than address the controversy.

"Biggest win of my life. Thank you all for the wonderful messages. Over 700 texts I will not be commenting any further until we are able to present what I believe is a very, very valid case. Until then, I’m fully focused on my job with @TheCW_Sports and @NASCAR_Xfinity because the drivers and teams deserve the full focus on the massive stage ahead of them," Kligerman wrote.

Fans in the comments were happy to throw their support behind Kligerman, calling the post-race inspection all kinds of names in the process.

"Parker, you won that race. We stand with you and your team, and I sincerely hope you win your appeal and are awarded the victory you rightfully earned. Best of luck in the booth this season and in any other races you participate in."

"This whole post race ride height is (expletive) anyway. How many cars/trucks make it thru a Daytona race untouched by other vehicles or walls? If you can prove Parker’s truck was untouched, you may have a case, but otherwise Parker’s truck was damaged during the race and as such no red height rule should be enforced."

"Praying this gets overturned in your favor. What a heck of drive you had last night," another user wrote.

Corey Heim was declared the race winner in lieu of Kligerman.
