A big win for Chase Elliott and for many NASCAR fans. The Atlanta crowd cheered on their hometown hero tonight. When Elliott had burned down his tires and taken his checkered flag, the crowd that stayed to watch even began a chant that rang throughout the track.

Chase Elliott winning in Georgia is always going to be special. He did it in 2022. He’s done it again in 2025. He also breaks his winless streak dating back to Texas last season. For both the driver and his fans, this one was a long time coming.

There have been questions about Elliott, questions about his crew chief, and questions if he could get it done this season. Well, those questions are out the window now.

For his big win, Chase Elliott was bathed in chants of “Let’s Go Chase!” How sweet that must feel. This video from Steven Taranto of CBS Sports shows just how loud the No. 9 faithful were.

Chase Elliott put on a dang show tonight. He was aggressive from the jump. There are still fans waiting in the stands at midnight, taking it all in. The si-reen has been fired up in Dawsonville, and the party is just getting started tonight.

When the season started, all eyes were on Elliott. He’s had a lot of time between now and his leg injury. But the wins just weren’t happening like they did before. We have seen Elliott win five races in a single season in this Next Gen car. That just hasn’t been the case in the last few years.

Chase Elliott gets back to victory lane at the perfect time

You can’t deny that Chase Elliott is consistent. He is also loyal. When he talks about his team, he credits his crew chief Alan Gustafson every single time. Even when there is a lot of outside noise about this team, Elliott doesn’t waver in that loyalty.

This win happened at the perfect time. Not just being Elliott’s home race, but also being at a great time of the season. He showed off his aggression and his speed tonight on the track. That is something that has been missing at times in the last couple of seasons.

Chicago and Sonoma are two races that Elliott can win in the next two weeks. Heck, Dover is a race that he can win as well. There is a lot to like about this No. 9 team. Three straight top-five finishes and a win to cap that off, it doesn’t get much better than this.

This win from Chase Elliott could be more than just a win. If the momentum keeps going after this, the sky is the limit for this group. We could be talking about Elliott being a championship contender before the playoffs begin. Only time will tell.
