NASCAR lost a legend Thursday afternoon as two-time Cup Series Champion Kyle Busch has died.
"During this incredibly difficult time, we ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy and continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers. Further updates will be shared as appropriate," NASCAR wrote in a statement.
Nothing has been confirmed yet, but fans are searching for details about the two-time champion driver's death.
Busch was hospitalized Thursday morning with a "severe illness." Two weeks ago at Watkins Glen, Busch requested medical attention at the conclusion of the race.
Much remains unknown at the moment, and anything posted by anyone other than NASCAR, its media partners, Richard Childress Racing or Kyle Busch's family should be taken with great caution.
Despite enduring illness at Watkins Glen about two weeks ago, Busch participated in two races last weekend at Dover. In the Truck Series race, Busch won, marking his last victory in any NASCAR series. In the Cup Series race, Busch finished in 17th.
