NASCAR Starting Lineup: Qualifying Results for the Wurth 400 at Texas
Jerome Miron-Imagn Images

Qualifying for the Wurth 400 at Texas Motor Speedway just concluded, finding Carson Hocevar on pole position Sunday afternoon. He beat out Daniel Suarez , who will start on the front row. Chris Buescher, Denny Hamlin, and Chase Briscoe round out the top-5.

The strategy was all about corner entry and getting to that bottom line. While the qualifying order was set, long-run speed may play a big factor in the big race. Spire Motorpsports won the pole last year via Carson Hocevar, the won the race at Talladega last week, and now, they swept the pole at Texas. What a week for the arguable... top Chevrolet team right now?

The early race favorite is Denny Hamlin, but the odds are thin. Last season, Joey Logano was the lucky one to take the checkered flag. Who do you think wins this week? Let us know on X — @athlonsports.

Carson Hocevar earns pole position, staying on an insane run, including last years Texas pole, this years Texas pole, last weeks win at Talladega, and last nights Truck win at Texas.

Daniel Suarez historically run extremely well at Texas. He now has a car primed to win, qualifying in 2nd place by the thinnest of margins (0.003s).

Worst Qualifers at Texas

Bubba Wallace wrecked during practice and missed qualifying as a result, now starting in a backup car, 37th.

Ryan Blaneywas the biggest name of failure, outside of Wallace. He qualified very slow in 31st place. No Team Penske Ford will start better than 13th.
