We knew that it was bound to happen. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Carson Hocevar got into each other again late at Mexico City. Stenhouse and Hocevar went through their drama after the NASCAR race at Nashville. Now, the Hyak Motorsports driver is sending a message to the 77.
With about 9 laps to go, Carson Hocevar had some wheel hop. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was then spun out by the 77 in the stadium section. That might be the last straw between these two.
Steven Taranto of CBS Sports was listening to the radio of Stenhouse. After that incident, he told his crew to relay a message for him. “Tell him I will see him at Pocono.”
Sounds like we have more drama coming. What will the consequences be next week at Pocono?
Carson Hocevar brake-hopped going into the stadium section and spun Ricky Stenhouse Jr., who just told his crew very firmly to relay Hocevar a message.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. went to Carson Hocevar’s car after the finish. He told the 22 year old that “I’m going to beat your ass!” alluding to when the drivers get back to the United States. This rivalry is not going to end any time soon.
Stenhouse warned Hocevar that he will get physical with him at Pocono. With how good the Spire driver has been on the intermediate, high-speed tracks this year, Stenhouse might have to try and catch him out of the car to get his revenge.
It sounds like that is exactly what Stenhouse intends to do. Warning received.
Besides, Stenhouse was in a very similar position earlier in the race. He was in a better spot to get refired without traffic coming through and playing a factor. But there was a chance that the 47 car could have brought out the caution if NASCAR had seen things differently.
Lap 66 brought out the most consequential caution flag of the entire race in Mexico City. Carson Hocevar has changed the race for many drivers who were not able to pit under the green flag. That includes leader Ty Gibbs.
Shane van Gisbergen is going to inherit the lead after all of this. But Ricky Stenhouse Jr. had to call out Hocevar for causing that caution.
Jeff Gluck of The Athletic reported what Stenhouse said about Hocevar. No love lost between these two NASCAR rivals.
“Ricky Stenhouse Jr. says Carson Hocevar brings out BS cautions all the time,” Gluck posted on Twitter/X. I will say, it definitely changes things.
Look, we know that Ricky Stenhouse Jr. doesn’t really like Carson Hocevar. But what was the 77 supposed to do in that position? Let his car roll backwards into oncoming race traffic to try and get refired, and then spin his car around as more cars come through and try to swerve around him?
