One week after he was eliminated from NASCAR Xfinity Series playoff contention at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval, Taylor Gray paced the Xfinity Series field in practice at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Saturday.
Gray's fastest-lap of 30.557 seconds was enough to top the speed chart.
Ryan Sieg, Nick Sanchez, Jesse Love and Aric Almirola rounded out the top-five, with Corey Day, Daniel Hemric, Harrison Burton, Thomas Annunziata and Austin Hill completing the top-10.
Other notable practice results include defending Xfinity Series champion and March Las Vegas winner Justin Allgaier in 11th, Carson Kvapil in 15th, Sheldon Creed in 16th, Brandon Jones in 23rd, 2011 Daytona 500 champion Trevor Bayne in 25th, Connor Zilisch in 26th, Sammy Smith in 30th and Sam Mayer in 32nd.
Love was the only playoff driver to finish the session in the top-10.
