There's more than points and a playoff spot at stake during NASCAR's Coca-Cola 600.

Charlotte Motor Speedway hosts one of the most prestigious races on the Cup Series calendar this Sunday. Following the All-Star Race, the regular season resumes with a meaningful event on Memorial Day weekend.

NASCAR will maintain tradition by offering an additional prize to the Coca-Cola 600 winner. Charlotte Motor Speedway revealed Wednesday that the victor will receive a retro 1959 Cavalier 96 vending machine.

The red-and-white Coke machine features a plaque commemorating the winner of the 66th Coca-Cola 600. It doesn't appear to come with any soda inside, and a bottle unfortunately no longer costs 10 cents.

Last year, Christopher Bell became the latest NASCAR driver to win a restored Coke machine. The sponsorship ritual stretches back numerous years.

In 2016, Martin Truex won his first of two Coca-Cola 600s. He didn't realize he'd get an extra souvenir to commemorate his victory.

"I guess you can say we received a classic piece of history for winning a classic race in historical fashion," Truex said in 2017. "It might have felt like a dream-kind-of win, but it was the real thing."

Austin Dillon, who won in 2017, and 2020 winner Brad Keselowski recently discussed their prize.

"The Coke 600 trophy is actually at [Richard Childress Racing] right now on display at the museum," Dillon said. "The Coke machine is also on display at the museum. Yep, it's in the museum in Welcome, North Carolina. Come visit it."

"My Coca-Cola machine is sitting at my mom's house on the floor so we can use it anytime," Keselowski said. "I love it. It's one of my favorite trophies."

Chase Briscoe will apparently receive an extra push to take home the prize. His wife, Marissa Briscoe, urged him to win the Coke vending machine.

"Well I've got the perfect spot for this, think we can make it happen?" she asked in a social media post tagging her husband.

Amazon Prime Video will exclusively stream the Coca-Cola 600, which starts Sunday at 6 p.m. ET.
