TNT Sports Just Announced Its NASCAR Broadcasting Team

The first step for TNT and Turner Sports was getting back into the NASCAR game and now they've officially assembled their broadcast team.

On Wednesday, NASCAR's latest media rights partner announced its television roster ahead of the sport's inaugural in-season challenge — which features a number of big-time names.

Steve Letarte, Adam Alexander and NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. will man the booth for the network's on-air broadcasts. While Larry McReynolds and 21-time Cup Series winner Jeff Burton will handle altcast responsibilities alongside TNT/Bleacher Report contributor Mamba Smith.

Pit reporters Danielle Trotta, Marty Snider and Alan Cavanna will take care of everything that goes down on the track during the station's five-race set — which begins with the Quaker State 400 Saturday, June 28 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

That will be followed up by an entire month of summer coverage which includes races in Chicago, Sonoma, Dover and Indianapolis.

TNT and NASCAR have a more than three-decade relationship when it comes to putting the company's product on TV — with TNT's most successful run arguably taking place from 2007-2014.

Now the two are back in business together for the foreseeable future after coming to terms on a deal that would grant Turner exclusive access to five races in the heart of the NASCAR season each year.

Adam Alexander and Larry McReynolds are the only two returning personalities from TNT's original run.

Pre and post-race coverage will be held down by "NASCAR Nation" host Shannon Spake who will be joined in the studio by Daytona 500 winner Jamie McMurray and Craftsman Truck Series driver Parker Kligerman.
