Before tonight’s NASCAR events at North Wilkesboro, Tony Stewart gets the NHRA Top Fuel win at Route 66 Nationals. Joliet, Illinois, has been good this weekend for Smoke. Better yet, Stewart now has the points lead in the division.

Tony Stewart got his first Top Fuel win in a four-wide race. Today, he gets it done head-to-head against a 15-time winner in Justin Ashley.

Are we going to see Stewart claim another championship this season? It would put him in a category of his own if he were able to get it done. Stewart went 329.10 MPH to take down Ashley today.

The passion that Tony Stewart has found with the NHRA is amazing. For a driver who has done and achieved all that Smoke has – from dirt racing to open-wheel to stock cars, and now, to drag racing.

One of, if not the most, versatile drivers that has ever lived. There are few who can even attempt to do what Stewart has done in his motorsports career, even fewer who would want to do it, and perhaps he is the only one who could win multiple times in each discipline.

When Tony Stewart got out of NASCAR last year, it was a big deal. But that doesn’t mean he’s out of racing completely. Taking over this Top Fuel ride from his wife Leah Pruett last season was a huge step. Like he has done his entire life, Stewart has risen to the occasion.

Tony Stewart will be in Indy 500 booth

Even more good news for Tony Stewart fans, he is going to be at the Indianapolis 500. While his racing days in IndyCar are behind him, Smoke is going to join the broadcast booth along with Danica Patrick.

FOX is pulling out all of the stops for the Indy 500 this season. They will have big name analysts and broadcasters and have all of their focus on the Greatest Spectacle in Racing.

Tony Stewart and Danica Patrick will join the FOX broadcast team along with regulars Will Buxton, James Hinchcliffe, and Townsend Bell. Jamie Little, Kevin Lee, and Georgia Henneberry will be pit reporters.

Alongside Stewart and Patrick will be Chris Myers. It is going to be a fantastic race and there will be plenty of excitement as FOX gets broadcast rights for the first time.
