Ty Gibbs is just a few weeks away from starting his third full-time season in the NASCAR Cup Series. Based on his performance in those first two seasons, which included a dozen top-5 finishes, most experts predict the 22-year-old will earn his first win in 2025 — a year when he’ll reach the 100-race mark of his career at the Coca-Cola 600.
On Friday, Fox’s Bob Pockrass shared a video on X that featured interviews with his co-worker, analyst Clint Bowyer, and the Joe Gibbs Racing driver. Interestingly, the pair were not talking about NASCAR but the upcoming NFL conference championship games.
The boisterous Chiefs fan offered some disrespectful words toward the NFC and its remaining teams, the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders.
”Don't doubt Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs,” Bowyer said. “If that 15 jersey's on the field, put it in the bank, we're going to the Super Bowl. It's gonna be a big one. This Bills game's got me nervous. There's no question. Talked a tremendous amount of trash.
“But I feel good about it. I think we're gonna do that and then go take care of business. I truly think the Super Bowl's this weekend. Obviously, this is going to be aired prior to the Bills-Chiefs game in Arrowhead. But, I feel good about it. Full confidence.”

The video then included Pockrass informing the JGR pilot of Bowyer’s remarks suggesting the Super Bowl will be played in the AFC Championship.
“I don't really care, I guess, what he has to say about it because the Super Bowl is in a couple weeks,” Gibbs responded. “And I hope the Commanders can win and go and play the Bills, because I don't think that Kansas is going to make it.”
Sunday night we’ll have our Super Bowl matchup set. And NASCAR fans with no rooting interest in the big game can only hope the Chiefs and Commanders earn a berth so the jabs between Bowyer and Gibbs can continue for at least a few more weeks.
