Early into the 2025 Xfinity Series season-opener at Daytona, the "Big One" has already thrown its hat into the ring.
As the field roared down the backstretch on lap five, the bottom line checked up, forcing Jesse Love to make contact with Brandon Jones. The contact shot Jones' No. 20 Toyota Supra up the track and hard into the No. 1 of Carson Kvapil.

Daniel Dye, Jones, Kvapil, Harrison Burton, Connor Zilisch and Brennan Poole were involved in the crash, among others.
The incident continues the weekend's trend of early crashes. In Thursday's Daytona duels, Chandler Smith and Helio Castroneves were involved in a crash on lap 14 of Duel 1. In Friday's Truck Series race, Kaden Honeycutt spun from the lead on lap four and made hard contact with the inside wall. On lap five of Saturday's ARCA Menards Series race, Cody Dennison hit the wall on the exit of turn four, spurring another big crash early in a race.
The Xfinity Series season-opener is the latest race to be impacted by the epidemic of early crashes.
