LONG POND, Pennsylvania -- William Byron topped the speed charts in Saturday's NASCAR Cup Series practice session at Pocono Raceway, turning a fastest lap of 52.706 seconds.
It's not a surprise to see the No. 24 near the top of the charts, given that Byron has been in contention to win several times since his lone victory at the Daytona 500 in February.
Bubba Wallace, Chase Elliott, Tyler Reddick and Chris Buescher rounded out the top five, with Michael McDowell, Austin Cindric, Ryan Blaney, Alex Bowman and Brad Keselowski completing the top 10.
Other notable practice results include Christopher Bell in 13th, Kyle Larson in 17th, Kyle Busch in 20th, Carson Hocevar in 22nd and Denny Hamlin in 27th.
Mexico City winner Shane van Gisbergen was 26th-fastest in practice, while defending Cup Series champion Joey Logano was 28th on the speed chart.
Brennan Poole was last (37th) on the speed chart, while Josh Berry (36th) damaged the diffuser on the No. 21 badly enough to where Berry will not be able to make a qualifying lap.
Poole will also not be allowed to qualify after failing tech inspection three times.
Cup Series qualifying is next on Prime Video. The Great American Getaway 400 will go green shortly after 2 p.m. ET on Sunday, with coverage on Prime Video, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
