LONG POND, Pennsylvania -- In a return to the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Chase Elliott laid down the pole-winning lap for Saturday's NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Pocono Raceway.
Elliott's lap of 54.209 seconds was enough to best Brandon Jones for the pole position. It's the third pole of Elliott's Xfinity Series career.
Jones, Nick Sanchez, William Sawalich and Ryan Sieg rounded out the top five, with Sam Mayer, Taylor Gray, Justin Allgaier, Connor Zilisch and Jesse Love completing the top 10.
Other notable qualifiers include Sheldon Creed in 12th, Austin Hill in 14th, Daniel Dye in 18th, Carson Kvapil in 22nd and Josh Williams in 26th.
Neither Kyle Sieg nor Logan Bearden attempted a qualifying lap. They will start 37th and 38th, respectively.
The Explore the Pocono Mountains 250 will go green shortly after 3:30 p.m. ET, with coverage on the CW, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Pre-race coverage will begin at 3 p.m. ET on the CW and MRN.
