A career-first for William Sawalich! The teenage driver gets his first win ever in the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series. An ARCA champion and highly touted young driver, he finally gets it done in year two for Joe Gibbs Racing.

When Sawalich went winless last season in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series as a rookie, it was a bit shocking. Of course, this guy named Connor Zilisch hogged a lot of wins in 2025. Still, Sawalich is seen as a serious development driver for Toyota and JGR.

This race was a great look into the dilemma that JGR and Toyota have. Sawalich and Brent Crews are two very talented and young drivers. They can both end up Cup Series talents one day in the near future. The issue? JGR will likely only have one Cup seat open up in the near future, the 11 car of Denny Hamlin.

Other news from Saturday's Rockingham race, Cleetus McFarland struggled. An early spin, a late spin, a few things in between. He ended up six laps down by the finish for P32. He kept the car in one piece though. Cleetus finished P4 in the ARCA East race earlier in the day.
