The NBA offseason is still young, but there have already been plenty of notable players who have found new homes. This includes players like Kevin Durant, Jrue Holiday, Kristaps Porzingis, Bradley Beal, Myles Turner, Cameron Johnson, and Michael Porter Jr., just to name a few.

Even with all the major signings and trades the league has already seen within the last month, it is still not over yet. There are still plenty of notable names left on the free agent market. This includes Brooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas, who is a restricted free agent.

While nothing is official yet, a recent report shed some light on Thomas' status, indicating that his time in Brooklyn may have already come to an end.

Thomas has spent the first four years of his NBA career in Brooklyn and has gradually improved every season. In 25 games last year, the Japanese native averaged a career-high 24 points per game while shooting 43.8% from the field.

Despite his growth, however, it seems that Thomas will most likely be on a new team next year as the Nets have yet to "significantly engage" in contract negotiations with him (h/t Jake Fischer of The Stein Line).

"Sources say that the Nets, in fact, have yet to even significantly engage their own restricted free agent: Scoring guard Cam Thomas," Fischer wrote.

Thomas is still just 23 years old and provides a lot of offensive value. A return to Brooklyn is not entirely out of the picture, especially since they can match any offer sheet he receives, but as it stands, it does not look good for the LSU alum.
