With Jimmy Butler’s exit, the Miami Heat are searching for their next big superstar.

Over the years, the Miami Heat have been home to some of the most talented players in NBA history, including LeBron James.

For the last six years or so, Jimmy Butler was the face of the franchise, but with him traded to the Golden State Warriors, the franchise is hoping to land another big-name superstar.

Throughout the offseason, the Heat have been linked to Giannis Antetokounmpo . But would that hypothetical move make sense? According to 2x NBA champion Mario Chalmers, it doesn’t.

Mario Chalmers doesn’t see Giannis Antetokounmpo fitting on the Miami Heat

Chalmers won two NBA championships with the Heat, so he knows a thing or two about the ever-so-famous ‘Heat Culture.’

Keeping that in mind, Chalmers recently made an appearance on Scoop B Selects, where he gave his honest take on Giannis Antetokounmpo’s potential fit on the Heat.

“No. I don’t see Giannis fitting in — I won’t say Heat Culture, but just the Heat team. You gotta put a lot of shooters around him on that team, which I think is doable, but I just don’t see him going there,” Chalmers said.

This is not the first time that Chalmers has shot down Giannis for the Heat. Either way, as things stand, Antetokounmpo seems content with the Milwaukee Bucks, even after Damian Lillard’s surprising departure.

Mario Chalmers feels the Toronto Raptors would be a better choice for Giannis Antetokounmpo

Another Eastern Conference side that’s hunting for a superstar is none other than the Toronto Raptors.

Chalmers was asked about Giannis’ fit on the Raptors. The 2x NBA champion would be happy if the Greek Freak joins the Canadian side.

“Definitely. They’re more active. They’re more of an up-and-down team, and they’ve got a bunch of young, hungry guys that like to run and get up and down. And so, that’s Giannis’ game,” Chalmers explained.

As mentioned earlier, Antetokounmpo has no desire to leave the Bucks, at least for now. However, his stance could change if the Bucks remain a mediocre team by the NBA Trade Deadline next season.
