The Golden State Warriors rebounded from their upset loss this weekend by dominating the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Golden State Warriors knew they needed to recover from their abysmal showing against the Portland Trail Blazers coming into tonight’s game.

And that’s exactly what they did against the Memphis Grizzlies, defeating them in a 131-118 blowout that was never really a close game after the first half, on the back of Jonathan Kuminga’s 25 points.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr challenged Brandin Podziemski ahead of the game, claiming that he wasn’t at his best to start the season.

The young star responded by putting up 23 points and being the team’s third-leading scorer behind Kuminga. But the Warriors put on a complete performance on the night.

Warriors continue to shoot it brilliantly from deep

The Golden State Warriors were excellent from beyond the arc, going 18-35 from range and converting 51.4% of their shots.

This was yet another strong three-point shooting night for the Warriors, who currently rank fifth in the NBA for three-point shooting, converting 40.8% of their shots from range.

Ironically, it was Buddy Hield who was the Warriors’ worst three-point shooter on the night, as he went 0-4 from deep despite being a 3-point specialist.

Stephen Curry can finally defer to other players on offense

Tonight’s game was interesting for the Warriors, as Stephen Curry, despite shooting efficiently, was only the Warriors’ fifth-highest scorer with 16 points.

Jonathan Kuminga, Brandin Podziemski, Jimmy Butler, and Moses Moody led the team in scoring with 25, 23, 20, and 20 points, respectively.

Curry was the player with the fewest points among those Warriors who notched double-digit points. After years of being the primary scorer, Curry has a squad that can take over without him leading the charge.

Warriors are spreading the wealth on offensive end

To complement several players on the team scoring at such a high level, the Warriors are also one of the best passing teams in the NBA so far.

Coming into tonight’s game, the Warriors ranked sixth in the NBA for assists per game with 28.7. Tonight, the Warriors had 34 assists, with three players getting 5 or more assists.

The Warriors have shown they are title contenders with their brilliant start to the NBA season. Now all they need to do is sustain this momentum going forward.
