3 Miami Heat Players Who Could be Traded During the 2025-26 NBA Season

Now Miami will look to turn things around heading into the 2025-26 season and they did make some key additions to their roster this offseason.

The Heat selected Kasparas Jakucionis 20th overall in the 2025 draft and they also added both Simone Fontecchio and Norman Powell in trades this summer.

With these moves, the Heat are looking for their star duo of Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro to lead them to a top seed in the East this season, though they could also look to upgrade their roster ahead of the trade deadline and if they do, these three players could be on the move.

Andrew Wiggins

The Heat acquired Wiggins at last season’s trade deadline in the trade that sent Jimmy Butler to the Golden State Warriors.

Down the stretch, the 30-year-old forward played a key role for Miami as he averaged 19.0 points and 4.2 rebounds per game, but he has continued to be the subject of trade rumors.

With Wiggins continuing to be in trade rumors, the Heat may be willing to move him this season if they receive the right offer, especially with him having a player option next summer that could make him a free agent if he declines it.

Terry Rozier

It was a rough season last year for Terry Rozier as he put together one of the worst seasons of his career.

Over 64 games, the 31-year-old guard averaged only 10.6 points and 2.6 rebounds per game, the lowest since his last season with the Boston Celtics in 2018-19.

With Rozier’s struggles, the Heat have reportedly been trying to move the veteran guard but with his large contract and poor play last season, they may have a tough time finding a trade suitor for him.

Jaime Jaquez Jr.

After a successful rookie season that saw him finish fourth in the Rookie of the Year race, Jaime Jaquez Jr. took a step back last season.

The 24-year-old forward averaged 8.6 points and 4.4 rebounds per game last season as his minutes fell from 28.2 in 2023-24 to 20.7 last season.

Of course, the addition of Wiggins played a key role in Jaquez Jr.’s loss in minutes and Wiggins could take more minutes this season, which could cause the Heat to shop the young forward ahead of the deadline where he should draw some interest from other teams.

With the Heat looking to make a run at a top seed in the East this season, it would not be a surprise to see them make multiple deals ahead of the deadline to upgrade their roster.
