3 Potential Trade Targets for the Toronto Raptors Entering 2025-26 NBA Season

The Toronto Raptors failed to make the playoffs for the third consecutive season last year as they continue to go through their rebuild.

Despite this, they will enter the 2025-26 season looking to end their playoff drought behind their core of Scottie Barnes, RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley and Jakob Poeltl.

Toronto also made some key additions to their roster this offseason as they signed Sandro Mamukelashvili and selected Collin Murray-Boyles and Alijah Martin in the 2025 draft.

With these additions, the Raptors are looking to take advantage of the weakened East as they try to fight for at least a Play-In spot.

Of course, they could also look to make more moves ahead of the trade deadline and if they do, these three players could be potential targets.

Giannis Antetokounmpo

The storyline surrounding Giannis Antetokounmpo this offseason was a major one as many expected the superstar forward to demand a trade from the Milwaukee Bucks.

Instead, Giannis has elected to stay in Milwaukee, though that could change this season and if it does, expect the Raptors to be a team interested in acquiring him.

Of course, Toronto has been linked to Giannis over the past few seasons, though it would take a ton for them to acquire him along with them having to outbid multiple other teams for him, though he would give them the star player they have lacked over the past handful of seasons.

Nick Richards

With the Phoenix Suns rebuilding this offseason and adding both Khaman Maluach and Mark Williams to their roster, Nick Richards has begun to draw interest from other teams.

Toronto could also show interest in Richards if Phoenix decides to move him as they are in need of frontcourt depth behind Poeltl.

The 27-year-old center is a solid scorer, rebounder and defender who could be a solid addition to Toronto’s bench, especially since they should be able to land him at a cheap price.

Devin Carter

Devin Carter had an up-and-down rookie season last year for the Sacramento Kings after missing the first half of the season due to shoulder surgery.

Despite this, the young guard proved to be an elite defender, though he does need to develop offensively, and the Raptors could show interest in him to add another young guard to their roster.

If Toronto does show interest in him to bolster their guard depth, they could also be able to land him for a cheap price and if they are able to develop him, he could become a key player for them in the future.

While the Raptors could target all three of these players, they could also look elsewhere to upgrade their roster as they try to end their playoff drought this season.
