The New York Knicks have had a busy offseason thus far as they have made two notable signings and also made a head coaching hiring.

Of course, the Knicks began their offseason by firing head coach Tom Thibodeau and after about of month of interviews with multiple candidates, they fired former Sacramento Kings coach Mike Brown.

New York also made two notable free agent moves as they signed Guerschon Yabusele and Jordan Clarkson to cheap contracts to upgrade their bench.

The Knicks still have one opening left on their roster and it is likely that they will look for a player they can bring in on a veteran’s minimum to fill that spot.

Here are three remaining free agents the Knicks could target to fill their final roster spot.

Ben Simmons

Simmons has been linked to the Knicks over the past few weeks as a potential candidate to fill their final roster spot.

The former first overall pick is no longer the All-Star player that he once was thanks to injuries but he would give the Knicks a great defender and playmaker off the bench to continue upgrading their second unit.

Chris Boucher

Boucher would be a solid addition to the Knicks’ bench, especially due to Mitchell Robinson’s injury history.

The veteran big man is a great scorer and defender who would help space the floor in their second unit thanks to his three-point shooting while also bringing a much-needed shot blocker to their roster.

Seth Curry

Curry has been linked to the Golden State Warriors to team up with his brother, Stephen Curry, this offseason but he would also be a solid addition to the Knicks’ bench.

The veteran guard is a great three-point shooter, which is something the Knicks lacked in their second unit last season and he should fit well next to Clarkson and Miles McBride off the bench.

While the Knicks could target these players, they could also look elsewhere to fill their final roster spot this offseason.
