The city of New York rejoiced on Saturday night when the Knicks captured the NBA championship and ended a 53-year title drought.
Unfortunately, a number of fans once again came to the celebrations with the intention of causing harm to themselves or the people and property around them.
According to the NYPD, 63 people were arrested Saturday night as tens of thousands of fans packed the streets of New York.
Those arrested now face charges like assaulting a police officer, disorderly conduct, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal mischief.
In the latest of what’s becoming a series of occurrences, Saturday night’s celebrations came with a number of shocking and downright disturbing moments.
Videos quickly went viral showing a number of incidents, from a Spurs fan fighting an entire group of Knicks fans to a school bus going up in flames on the street.

One incident near Times Square reportedly devolved into a shooting that left a 17-year-old with a gunshot wound in his foot. By the time things settled down, four people had been stabbed and 10 police officers had been injured throughout the night.
On a night where the Knicks pulled off that many believed was impossible, the celebrations will be remembered as a stain on the reputation of their fans.
