On Friday night, the Philadelphia 76ers will welcome the Sacramento Kings into the Wells Fargo Center, as they look to snap their season-high three-game losing streak.
They come into the match off of a tough overtime loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night, which came despite the offensive heroics of Tyrese Maxey and Tobias Harris.
The Sixers' partnership managed to put up 67 points across the five quarters of play, with Marcus Morris Sr providing some pivotal offense off the bench.
While Philadelphia was without the reigning MVP, as Joel Embiid sat out due to an ankle injury, they were also without Robert Covington.
The 33-year-old sat out against the Hawks due to inflammation in his left knee, which marked his fourth straight absence from the court.
It appears that this streak will continue, as Covington has been listed as out for the Sixers' match against the Kings on Friday night.
The injury stint came during a rough stint for Covington, as he wasn't putting up the biggest numbers in December, managing to average three points per game throughout the month.
Since making a move back to Philadelphia as a part of the James Harden trade in late October, Covington had become quite the part of Nick Nurse's rotation, appearing in 26 matches.
While Philadelphia will be without Covington and Embiid, the Kings could be without Kevin Huerter, who is listed as questionable due to a left ankle sprain.
The Sixers will take on the Kings on Friday night, with tip-off scheduled for 7:30 p.m. EST.
