Adrian Wojnarowski Has Message For Everyone After Cancer Diagnosis

Former ESPN NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski revealed that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer back in March of 2024.

The diagnosis came months before he retired from sports media and took a new position with the St. Bonaventure men's basketball program.

He learned of his diagnosis before doing a segment on ESPN's NBA Countdown. Thankfully, he doesn't have any symptoms and wants everyone to know that he's going to be alright.

"Appreciate all the kind words and concern but I’m going to be fine. My goal in sharing a prostate cancer diagnosis is to encourage screening and testing among men. Early diagnosis will make all the difference for me —- and many others too," Wojnarowski tweeted.

Fans loved the message that Wojnarowski sent with this tweet.

"Woj you matter so much to the story of modern basketball, you are central to it," one tweet read.

"Wishing you the best through this time, Woj. NBA community was lucky to have you," another tweet read.

"Prayers to Woj man and I’m happy that he was able to get an early diagnosis," another fan tweeted.

After Woj left ESPN, the network hired Shams Charania to replace him. He and Charania were the top two NBA insiders and were always looking to beat each other for the biggest news stories during each NBA season.

Charania is now the top NBA insider while Woj is the general manager of the St. Bonaventure men's basketball team.

We wish him all the best in his fight with prostate cancer.
