Washington Wizards fans eager to see AJ Dybantsa make his NBA debut may not have to wait much longer.
Dybantsa has been upgraded to questionable for the Wizards’ game Wednesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The team has not given any clear hint on whether he will play, but this is certainly a step in the right direction.
The Wizards have listed AJ Dybantsa as QUESTIONABLE to play in Wednesday’s game in Cleveland. The No. 1 pick missed the team’s first four games after he sprained his left ankle in the preseason finale on Oct. 16.

Wednesday’s game is a road contest, so the Wizards could theoretically hold Dybantsa back for one more game and have him debut Friday in the team’s NBA Cup home game against the Charlotte Hornets.
Dybantsa did play in preseason, but he suffered an ankle injury in the preseason finale and the Wizards have been extremely cautious with him. That makes sense, given his importance to the franchise as the No. 1 overall pick. Plus, the Wizards are 2-1 anyway, so they aren’t desperate to get him in the lineup.
