A’ja Wilson ‘s relationship with Bam Adebayo has drawn scrutiny and speculation since last year, with fans closely following their lives off the court. Adebayo was spotted courtside during Saturday’s WNBA All-Star Game, where Wilson, now a seven-time All-Star, played for Team Clark.

A’ja Wilson, wearing headphones, instantly heard the commentator’s funny remark, then laughed it off, all in a wide, completely cozy smile. Whether at the arena or not, fans quickly caught on to this, showing love and support for the already-speculated Wilson-Adebayo connection.
But the basketball community isn’t that oblivious either; after all, A’ja Wilson and Adebayo have been publicly spotted together multiple times. Their relationship started during the 2024 Olympics, where both teams played for Team USA. Ever since, the two, especially Wilson, have been landing cryptic hints showing their devotion to the Miami Heat center.
One example was when Wilson low-key referenced Adebayo during her jersey retirement at South Carolina. At first glance, the former Gamecock just thanked her loved one around him, all clear, until she said this:
“What a blessing to have those most special to me courtside today, especially my favorite Olympian from out of town.”
So, for the pundits watching, the only thing missing from the A’ja Wilson-Bam Adebayo saga is an official statement. But in all honesty, the couple had seemingly made it clear that it’s been confirmed for a while now.
Fans, and even the Las Vegas Aces, are shocked when A’ja Wilson sustained a nasty injury after July 8’s match against the NY Liberty. The next day, it was confirmed that the superstar center had a wrist injury, a huge blow to the already struggling Aces. Even with Wilson on the court, the team had lost its high ground compared to the previous seasons.
However, A’ja Wilson, in fact, remains up and going. Her injury didn’t stop her from playing at the recent All-Star Game, although she only played for a few minutes, but with a reason. She made sure that she won’t go all-out with a recovering wrist, especially as her team faces a tumultuous second half. With their 11-11 standing, the Aces still have a clear chance of entering the playoffs.
